Chief Engineer (Sugar Industry) at Adexen

Responsibilities

• Plant functionality with a minimum time loss of 1.8% available time for the refinery operation. 
• Plant optimization to meet set production target in all respect and by all units within the department. 
• Plan plant optimization and monitoring. 
• Compliance with Engineering Safety Standards. 
• Treatment of effluent.
• Organize effective breakdown maintenance of affected equipment.
• Identification, analysis and ordering of spares & consumables.
• Organize planned preventive maintenance for refinery equipment.
• Steam generation for power supply and water production & treatment. 
• Project expansion planning and execution. 
• Preparation & implementation of departmental budget. 
• Ensure effective Implementation of QMS, FSMS and OHSAS in the sections/units. 
• Budget proposition including control. 
• Plan for plant regular maintenance with emphasis on equipment economic life and timely replacement. 
• Regular progress report and recommendations to management on matters relating to the department. 
• Plan and propose required training for all staff in the Department. 

Desired Skills and Experience

• A Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Graduate with a minimum of 15 years of experience in Cane Sugar Industry of minimum 4000 TCD capacity.
• He should have a minimum of four years as the ‘Unit Head’ or Chief Engineer.
• He must be conversant with the entire sugar factory operations.
