Chemistry Teacher at Blooms Academy

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging chemistry lessons in line with the school’s curriculum (WAEC, NECO, IGCSE as applicable).
• Conduct and supervise laboratory experiments, ensuring adherence to safety standards.
• Use innovative teaching methods and digital tools to simplify complex chemistry concepts.
• Prepare lesson notes, assignments, and practical schedules that foster deep understanding.
• Assess, record, and report on students’ academic progress, providing constructive feedback.
• Prepare students for both internal and external examinations.
• Maintain and manage laboratory chemicals, reagents, and equipment.
• Participate actively in departmental meetings, curriculum planning, and professional development programs.
• Stay updated on current trends, research, and teaching strategies in chemistry education.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Chemistry Education, or a related field.
• TRCN certification is mandatory.
• At least 3 years of teaching experience in a school setting.
• Strong knowledge of chemistry curriculum and examination standards.
• Proficiency in computer-based learning resources and virtual laboratory simulations is an added advantage.
