Job Description:

Our client, a chemical engineering company with focus on sales, construction, installation and client advisory services needs to hire a highly experienced and professional chemical sales engineer with a speciality in Coatings, Construction and/or Flooring. This role requires a high level of market, product, technology and application understanding in target markets.

Job Responsibilities:

• Prospecting for new Clients and maximizing Client potential in designated regions.

• Calculating Client quotations and Administering Client accounts.

• Providing Pre-Sales Technical assistance and advice.

• Writing reports and liaising with the logistics and broader team regarding issues, foreseeable problems, and effective solutions.

Job Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or chemistry.

• A solid Technical Sales background with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the field of coatings, construction or flooring.

• Financial Acumen : Understands the financial implications of decisions for the customer and our client

• Solid local and industry market knowledge.

• A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.

• Ability to understand the technology of the materials supplied to the customer, is able to understand the customer application of the material in the customer’s application or process.

• Must possess current knowledge of market trends, product, application/technology, key players, value chain, product life cycle and competitors
