Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Chartered Internal Auditor with proven experience in the manufacturing sector to join our internal audit team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating internal controls, identifying risks, ensuring compliance with regulations, and improving operational efficiency across production and business functions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct risk-based internal audits across all departments, especially manufacturing operations.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and recommend improvements.
• Review production processes, inventory systems, procurement, and cost control practices for compliance and efficiency.
• Monitor adherence to regulatory standards (e.g., IFRS, tax laws, industry regulations).
• Assess the adequacy and efficiency of risk management procedures.
• Analyze financial and operational data to detect irregularities or potential fraud.
• Prepare clear, concise audit reports with actionable recommendations.
• Follow up on audit findings and ensure timely implementation of corrective actions.
• Collaborate with department heads to understand processes and address risks.
• Assist in developing and updating internal audit policies and procedures.
• Support external audits and regulatory inspections as required.

Requirements:

• Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) and Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) certification.
• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in internal audit, with at least 5 years in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, inventory control, and cost accounting.
• In-depth knowledge of auditing standards, risk management, and internal control frameworks.
• Proficiency in accounting and audit software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, ACL, or IDEA).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
