Certified Accountant at Carrillion Construction

Overview:

• An Accountant who will be responsible for the management and reporting of the financial data of an organization. Their duties include preparing financial statements, examining and analyzing a company's accounts, and ensuring compliance with financial reporting and other standard accounting procedures.

Responsibilities:

Management

• Assist in formulating the company's future direction and supporting tactical initiatives.
• Monitor and direct the implementation of strategic business plans.

Materials Requisition

• Request of sharp Sand, granite, Top soil, and Black soil from each site
• Liaising with the management for the delivery of any requisition form at each site
• Arranging with the truck driver to deliver and pick up the requested materials within a specific time
• Monitor and report on the truck drivers and the trucks

Maintenance

• Liaising with the management to give service to repair the contract
• Interface with external Contractors for maintenance and services
• Ensure service is being delivered from some vendors, engineers, and users in the department

Report financial results to the business Owner

• Understand and mitigate key elements of the company's risk profile
• Ensure daily coverage on all payment vouchers raised and proper classifications of expenses
• Develop financial and tax strategies.
• Completing analysis of the employee expenditures
• Ensure cheques raised and cash collected.
• Enforce petty cash reports and posting
• Enforce the acknowledged invoice report
• Ensure Payee remittance

Expenditure management

• Ensure expenditure is controlled within standard company guidelines.
• Ensure expenditures are verified and ratified with control departments
• Ensure expenditure reports are given monthly with verification from admin/operations.

Internal Controls

• Ensure company compliance with laid down policies and cooperation with other departments.
• Establish from time to time internal control systems to safeguard the company’s assets and resources, filing and remitting taxes and other financial obligations
• Initiating and managing financial and accounting software used by the company
• Analyzes and interprets financial data and recommends changes to improve systems and financial performance.
• Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual balance sheets
• Generate reconciliation of bank statements
• Participate in key decisions as a member of the Management Executive Committee
