Certified Accountant at Carrillion Construction

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, analyze, and maintain accurate financial statements and reports for construction projects.
• Manage accounts payable, receivable, and payroll, ensuring timely and precise processing.
• Monitor project budgets by tracking expenses and forecasting financial needs.
• Conduct financial analyses to assess project profitability and cost efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with all tax regulations, financial reporting standards, and industry regulations.
• Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to provide financial insights that drive project success.
• Prepare for and support external audits by organizing the necessary documentation.
• Implement and maintain financial controls and processes specific to the construction industry.
• Stay updated on construction accounting practices and regulations to ensure best practices are followed.
• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and practices, particularly as they relate to construction finance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to evaluate financial data and make informed decisions.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar), especially tailored to construction accounting.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects effectively.
• Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• A Certified Public Accountant CPA , ACA designation is required.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably with a focus on the construction industry and real estate
• Familiarity with construction contracts, job costing, and project financial management.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards within the construction sector is a plus.
