    Centre Accountant

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Preparation of daily Production Reports.
    • Review of patient transactions posted by the Centre’s Check-Out Team to ensure timeliness, accuracy and completeness.
    • Verify end-of-day (EOD) reports posted on Dolphin (PIMS) and the Centre’s Appointment Schedule (for private patients).
    • Posting invoices and receipts to individual patient ledgers, and all petty cash transaction details on Dolphin (PIMS) & QuickBooks.
    • Review all invoices sent from the Centre to partner HMOs for accuracy and compliance to departmental procedures. Prepare and submit daily HMO “Billing Bottlenecks” report, updating the report as agreed with supervisor.
    • Oversee & ensure daily proper end-of-day (EOD) remittance with the Centre’s Check-Out Team.
    • Daily reconciliation of the Centre’s Bank Accounts.
    • Weekly banking of cash.
    • Posting of end-of-the month adjustments.
    • Collate, review & rigorously negotiate various vendors/contractors/suppliers’ bills, quotes, and invoices submitted to the Centre prior to payment.
    • Work with the Accounts & Finance team and the Centre Manager to enforce adequate inventory management and control.
    • Any other duties as assigned by the Account Unit Team Lead/Coordinator, Centre Practice Manager, CFO or as agreed with other members of Management.

    Requirements

    • A good Bachelor's Degree (B.Sc.) or HND in Accounting.
    • 3 – 5 years’ hands-on relevant experience in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment, preferably in the health or service sectors.
    • ACA/ACCA qualifications would be an added advantage.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint and various bookkeeping/accounting software

    Personal Competencies:

    • Must be analytical, detail- and result-oriented.
    • Should possess good interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills to create clear & concise reports, maintain good working relationships with colleagues and negotiate/persuade vendors, employees, patients and their family members.
    • Demonstrate good planning, time management & organizational skills.
    • Hardworking, responsible, and reliable.
    • Must be diplomatic, discrete, emotionally intelligent and with a high level of integrity.
    • Must be self-motivated, able to multi-task to coordinate and perform multiple tasks efficiently and accurately.
