Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging visual arts lessons in line with the school’s curriculum.
• Teach practical and theoretical aspects of painting, drawing, sculpture, and other visual art techniques.
• Integrate technology and computer graphics into the teaching of art where applicable.
• Organize art exhibitions, student projects, and competitions to showcase creativity.
• Assess, record, and report on students’ progress while providing constructive feedback.
• Foster creativity, critical thinking, and artistic expression in students.
• Maintain a safe, tidy, and resourceful art studio/classroom.
• Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects and school events.
• Stay updated on contemporary art trends, digital design tools, and teaching best practices.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts, Visual Arts, Art Education, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of teaching experience in a school setting.
• TRCN certification is mandatory.
• Demonstrable skills in painting and other traditional art forms.
• Proficiency in computer graphics/design software (e.g., CorelDRAW, Photoshop, Illustrator) is an added advantage.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
