Job Description

• The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing sales transactions accurately and efficiently while providing excellent customer service. 
• This role requires someone who is polite, detail-oriented, and capable of working in a fast-paced retail pharmacy environment. 
• The successful candidate will also assist with basic inventory support and ensure that customers have a pleasant checkout experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist with inquiries where necessary.
• Accurately process cash, card, or electronic payments for pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical purchases.
• Maintain accurate cash drawer balances and reconcile daily sales.
• Issue receipts, refunds, or exchanges as needed.
• Assist in stocking and organizing the front-end retail area.
• Support pharmacy staff with restocking shelves and checking inventory levels.
• Ensure the checkout area is clean, organized, and presentable.
• Follow all pharmacy and financial protocols, including confidentiality and compliance with health regulations.
• Report any customer issues or system malfunctions to the supervisor promptly.

Requirements

• Minimum of OND; additional qualifications incustomer service is an advantage.
• Previous experience as a cashier, preferably in a pharmacy or retail environment.
• Good numerical and data entry skills.
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
• Basic knowledge of POS systems and electronic payment platforms.
• Trustworthy, polite, and customer-oriented.
