Job Summary

• We are seeking a motivated and reliable cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate should have 1 to 2 years of experience in the stated role.
• As a cashier, you will be responsible for processing transactions accurately and efficiently, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining an organized checkout area.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide assistance as needed.
• Answer customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints in a professional manner.
• Accurately scan and enter product prices into the point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Handle cash, credit/debit card transactions, and other forms of payment.
• Issue receipts, refunds, and credits to customers as necessary.
• Maintain an accurate cash drawer and ensure that transactions are properly documented.
• Perform opening and closing procedures, including counting cash, balancing the cash drawer, and completing daily reports.
• Stay informed about current promotions, sales, and store policies.
• Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and well-stocked with necessary supplies.

Qualifications

• NCE / OND or equivalent.
• 1 to 2 years of experience in a cashier, retail, and customer service role.
• Basic math skills and ability to handle transactions accurately.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Customer-focused with a friendly and approachable demeanour.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with POS systems preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
