    Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst

    About the Job

    • We’re looking for an experienced Business Intelligence Analyst who is passionate about our mission of driving financial inclusion in Africa and inquisitive about the Fintech space in Nigeria and the rest of the world.

    Job Overview

    • The selected candidate will be responsible for helping businesses leverage business data and identify opportunities for improvement and achieve valuable insights within the organisation.
    • The BI Analyst will assist to provide a vertical bridge through the organisation to communicate information of high value to support decision-making demands.
    • The role holder will focus on helping provide business plans, deep insights into new businesses, competition and industry analysis, market research, go-to-market strategy, and general support to the HQ where needed. We also expect you to be a strategic thinker with an analytical mind and strong problem-solving skills.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Participate in the BI project lifecycle, which includes data collection, analysis, and testing
    • Write programming scripts and use common BI tools to analyse data and find past and present market trends
    • Developing ethical methods and procedures to gather customer and competitor data to monitor industry trends
    • Manage clients and understand their business priorities, organisation processes, and how they define their KPIs
    • Use BI tools to detect and monitor processes and risks, and audit for compliance controls
    • Use the data to produce insights that enable the organisation to modernise and streamline its operations
    • Articulately and concisely explain the implications of complex data
    • Summarise financial and economic data reports for review by the executives, managers, clients, and stakeholders.

    Qualification & Required Skills

    • Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Information Technology, and other relevant fields.
    • Minimum of 1-year experience in analytics or relevant fields.
    • Proficient in writing programming scripts using SQL, R, or other relevant programming languages
    • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel and functions such as SUM, Count, Count A, LEN, TRIM, RIGHT, LEFT and MID, VLOOKUP, IF Statements, SUMIF, COUNTIF, and AVERAGEIF, CONCATENATE, and Pivot Table.
    • Certification that shows the desire for learning and continued education (e.g. IBM or Tableau certifications) is an added advantage.
    • Sound knowledge of financial services processes.

    • Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
    • Strong problem-solving skills and an analytical mind.
