Business Intelligence Analyst at Transport Services Limited

Key Purpose of Job:

To present analytic results and recommendations to stakeholders in a timely, consistent, and accurate manner and manage all aspects of daily, weekly, monthly, and annual reporting, including documentation of queries and the resulting delivery of information to end-users.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform data analysis to generate periodic and ad hoc reports as needed for business purposes and decision-making. This includes gaining access and mining data from sources across the business to feed the business reports.
• Develop and implement a plan to ensure we obtain accurate market intelligence that will facilitate business decisions across all TSL Metroline operations.
• Analyze business information/data to identify process improvements to increase business efficiency and effectiveness, including participating in cross-functional meetings to resolve recurring customer issues for data input, analysis, storage, and retrieval.
• Assist departments with a wide range of projects related to data analysis, including revenue analysis, route profitability, passenger journey trends, cost analysis, performance monitoring, KPI management, and reporting.
• Perform forecast and trend analysis using enterprise databases, software systems, and external sources, including coordinating the management information system.
• Assist with the management of data and information/reporting using ERP and other business analysis tools.
• Ensure that adequate and effective risk assessments are undertaken and regularly reviewed.

Job Requirements:

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant area such as business, MIS, or computer science; mathematics; statistics; physics; economics; or a related field.

Experience

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.

Required Skills:

• Strong data analysis and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret data and generate insights.
• Proficiency in business intelligence tools, modelling, and management information systems (MIS).
• Working knowledge of SQL or other database/system languages.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, and PowerPoint for reporting and analysis.
• Strong project management and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong strategic thinking, customer focus, and results-driven mindset.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
