    Business Development Officer

    Job Summary

    The Business Development Officer (BDO) is responsible for identifying and developing both new and existing business opportunities. The BDO will collaborate with Business Development team to expand the client base, increase market share and secure contracts with federal and state governments, private organizations and high net-worth individuals. He/She will also stay updated with industry trends and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Conduct in-depth market research and competitor analysis to identify industry trends, market needs and potential growth opportunities.
    • Develop and implement a strategic business development plan to drive growth and increase market presence.
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and market segments.
    • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and business opportunities.
    • Analyse competitor offerings, market pricing and customer preferences to position the company competitively.
    • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities in government defence contracts, private security firms and international markets.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, government agencies, fleet operators, distributors, and key stakeholders.
    • Represent the company at industry trade shows, conferences, and networking events to promote the brand and explore potential business opportunities.
    • Prepare and deliver compelling business proposals, presentations, and sales pitches.
    • Monitor customer feedback and market developments to support product improvement initiatives.
    • Ensure proper contract execution and fulfillment of obligations as per the agreed terms.
    • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and business opportunities.

    Qualifications and Requirements

    • Bachelor\'s Degree or HND in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Sales, Management, or a related field.
    • 1–4 years\' experience in Business Development, Sales, Marketing, or Client Relationship Management.
    • Experience in the automotive, manufacturing, engineering, or related industry is an added advantage.
    • Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
    • Excellent interpersonal and relationship management abilities.
    • Ability to achieve sales targets and drive business growth.
    • Strong analytical and market research skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Knowledge of the Abuja business environment and surrounding regions is an advantage.

    Salary Expectation: N250,000 TO N300,000 MONTHLY
