    Business Development Officer

    Job Summary

    • We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven, and highly motivated Business Development Officer to join our team in Abuja.
    • The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining client relationships, increasing sales revenue, expanding market presence, and supporting the overall growth objectives of the company within the automobile manufacturing sector.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and market segments.
    • Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve sales and revenue targets.
    • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify industry trends and opportunities.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, government agencies, fleet operators, distributors, and key stakeholders.
    • Prepare and deliver compelling business proposals, presentations, and sales pitches.
    • Negotiate contracts and agreements with prospective clients and partners.
    • Collaborate with marketing, production, and customer service teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
    • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and business opportunities.
    • Prepare periodic business development and market intelligence reports for management.
    • Represent the company at exhibitions, trade fairs, networking events, and industry conferences.
    • Monitor customer feedback and market developments to support product improvement initiatives.

    Qualifications and Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree or HND in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Sales, Management, or a related field.
    • 3–5 years' experience in Business Development, Sales, Marketing, or Client Relationship Management.
    • Experience in the automotive, manufacturing, engineering, or related industry is an added advantage.
    • Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
    • Excellent interpersonal and relationship management abilities.
    • Proven ability to achieve sales targets and drive business growth.
    • Strong analytical and market research skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Knowledge of the Abuja business environment and surrounding regions is an advantage.
