    Business Development Officer

    Main Function

    • The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities, expanding market presence, building strategic partnerships, and managing distributor networks.
    • The role focuses on developing and executing market expansion strategies, strengthening brand visibility, and achieving sales targets through effective planning, relationship management, and performance monitoring.

    Role Responsibilities
    Market Expansion & Distributor Management:

    • Identify, recruit, and manage distributors and sales partners across assigned territories.
    • Develop new markets and expand the company’s distribution network to increase product reach.
    • Evaluate potential markets and opportunities for business growth.
    • Build strong relationships with distributors to ensure consistent product availability and sales performance.
    • Monitor distributor activities and provide guidance to improve sales effectiveness.

    Sales Strategy & Revenue Growth:

    • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
    • Identify high-value clients, corporate opportunities, and strategic sales channels.
    • Monitor sales performance across markets and implement corrective actions when necessary.
    • Track sales trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to inform strategy.

    Strategic Planning & Business Growth:

    • Contribute to the development of business growth plans and market expansion strategies.
    • Conduct market research to identify emerging opportunities and customer needs.
    • Develop proposals and business cases for entering new markets or launching new initiatives.
    • Collaborate with leadership to align business development activities with overall company goals

    Brand Promotion & Market Visibility:

    • Promote the company’s products and services through strategic marketing and promotional initiatives.
    • Represent the company at industry events, trade exhibitions, and networking forums.
    • Work with marketing teams to execute campaigns that strengthen brand awareness.
    • Ensure the brand is consistently represented across all markets and distributor channels.

    Client Relationship Management:

    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, distributors, and stakeholders.
    • Identify opportunities for long-term partnerships and repeat business.
    • Address client concerns and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
    • Negotiate contracts and commercial terms with clients and distributors.

    Performance Monitoring & Reporting:

    • Track and analyse business development performance metrics.
    • Prepare periodic sales and market expansion reports for management.
    • Monitor market feedback and customer insights to improve business strategies.
    • Provide recommendations to improve sales processes and market penetration.

    Cross-Functional Collaboration:

    • Work closely with operations, marketing, and logistics teams to ensure seamless product availability and service delivery.
    • Coordinate internal resources to support distributor activities and market expansion.
    • Ensure alignment between sales strategies and operational capabilities.

    Qualifications and Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 5 years experience in business development, sales, or market expansion roles.
    • Proven experience managing distributors or sales networks.
    • Strong understanding of market development and strategic sales planning.
