    Business Development Manager

    Our client is a renowned world-class manufacturer of a wide range heavy duty trucks. The company mainly develops, produces, and sells various types of heavy-duty vehicles, special vehicles, specialised vehicles, engines, transmissions, axles, and other assemblies and automotive components. It has a full range of commercial vehicle brands and is one of the most comprehensive heavy-duty truck enterprises in the world in terms of driving forms and power coverage. Its products are exported to more than 110 countries. With the corporate vision of \'building a world-class group of full series of commercial vehicles\', the company has accelerated the pace of independent innovation, continuously increased investment in research and development, introduced high-end technical talents, created a working and entrepreneurial ecology, and built high-end national independent brands. As part of its vision to be the number one manufacturer of heavy duty vehicles in the world, it has set up its operations in Nigeria and is now seeking to recruit an outstanding Business Development Manager.

    Reporting to the Managing Director, you will oversee and drive business growth by identifying potential clients, building relationships, and developing strategic partnerships. You will be responsible for promoting the company’s fleet and manpower outsourcing solutions, understanding client needs, and proposing tailored solutions that meet their requirements.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Identify and approach potential clients to introduce the company’s fleet.
    • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, addressing their queries and ensuring client satisfaction.
    • Develop business development strategies and plans to meet organisational goals.
    • Execute strategic initiatives to expand the company\'s market presence and drive revenue growth.
    • Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitors within the industry.
    • Analyse market data to tailor service offerings and stay ahead of market demands.
    • Create compelling proposals and presentations for clients, showcasing the benefits of the company’s services.
    • Deliver persuasive presentations to potential clients, addressing their needs and aligning the company’s offerings.
    • Negotiate terms, conditions, and pricing with clients to reach mutually beneficial agreements.
    • Oversee contract management and ensure compliance with agreed terms.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery to clients.
    • Provide leadership and guidance to the business development team, fostering a culture of growth and achievement.

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • B.Sc./HND
    • Minimum of 7 years relevant experience in business development, preferably in the fleet management, Transportation, and/or outsourcing industry.
    • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding business development targets.
    • Previous experience in managing a team is essential.
    • Experienced at preparing and presenting quarterly goals and forecasts for future projects.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Must possess a good knowledge and awareness of the market.
    • Knowledge of business development, and identification of opportunities that align to the aspiration/vision of the business.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Good analytical, problem-solving and entrepreneurial skills
    • Good time management and organisational skills
    • Good selling and marketing skills
    • Confident with good negotiation skills
    • Eager to expand the company with new sales, clients, and territories
    • Able to analse data and sales statistics and translate results into better solutions
    • Strong team player who can collaborate effectively with different stakeholders
    • Ability to work under pressure.
