The Business Development Manager (BDM) will play a key role in driving the company’s growth and expanding the company’s market presence within their assigned market region by identifying, pursuing, and securing new business opportunities. This position requires a proactive, results-driven professional who can execute strategic initiatives, cultivate strong client relationships, and build a sustainable pipeline of high-value clients. The BDM will be instrumental in expanding the company's market presence, ensuring consistent revenue growth, and contributing to the overall success of the organization.
Responsibilities
Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities to meet and exceed revenue targets and contribute to the company’s strategic growth objectives.
Develop and manage a portfolio of key client relationships, ensuring high levels of satisfaction, retention, and expansion.
Implement the business development strategy by creating and executing tactical plans designed to achieve organizational goals.
Build and maintain a robust development pipeline, ensuring a consistent flow of new opportunities aligned with revenue targets.
Identify and leverage cross-selling and upselling opportunities within the existing client base to maximize revenue.
Monitor and analyse market trends, competitor activity, and client needs to identify growth opportunities and adjust strategies accordingly.
Work closely with internal teams, including Sales, Marketing, and Compliance, to align efforts and ensure seamless execution of business development initiatives
Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Complete all required training programs and continuously enhance industry knowledge and skills.
Provide regular, detailed updates to management on progress, pipeline status, client feedback, and market insights to inform strategic decisions.
Requirements
A university degree in Finance, Economics, Banking, Business Administration, or a related field is an advantage
2-4 years of proven experience in a similar role within the FX/CFD industry
Proven ability to generate revenue and meet or exceed sales targets
Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data and client feedback to drive business decisions
Solid experience with MT4/MT5 platform and CRM software
Fluency in the local language of the target market and strong proficiency in written and spoken English, demonstrating exceptional professionalism and etiquette during client interactions
Knowledge of forex trading and financial markets
Demonstrated success in executing and managing business development strategies
Results-driven, with a strong focus on meeting and exceeding targets
Excellent use (oral and writing) of English and Hausa or Yoruba language
