Farmz2U is seeking a passionate and experienced Business Development Manager to join our rapidly growing team in Nigeria.
In this pivotal role, you will play a key role in driving our sales growth and achieving ambitious targets by developing strong relationships with potential and existing buyers.
You will oversee our sales operations across Nigeria whilst also supporting Kenyan sales operations.
You will play a critical role in driving our business growth and expansion. You will be an early Hitchhiker, shaping the team culture and fostering a collaborative and dynamic work environment.
Responsibilities
Prospecting and Lead Generation: Utilize various channels to identify and qualify new sales opportunities, building a robust sales pipeline.
Relationship Building: Cultivate strong relationships with potential and existing buyers, understanding their needs and proposing solutions that add value to their businesses.
Sales Presentations and Negotiations: Develop and deliver compelling sales presentations that showcase Farmz2u's offerings and negotiate win-win deals.
Customer Onboarding and Retention: Ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new customers and develop strategies to foster long-term relationships and portfolio growth.
Market Research and Insights: Conduct market research and competitor analysis to stay ahead of industry trends and inform strategic sales decisions.
Collaboration: Partner effectively with internal teams (e.g., operations and product) to ensure a seamless customer experience.
Reporting and Analysis: Track sales performance against targets, analyze data, and provide insights to optimize sales strategies.
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of experience in a sales role within the agriculture, technology, or e-commerce industries.
Proven track record of exceeding sales quotas and achieving ambitious targets.
Strong understanding of the agricultural sector and its challenges in Sub-Saharan Africa (a plus).
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
Ability to build rapport and trust with clients at all levels.
Strong negotiation and deal-closing skills.
Proficient in CRM software and comfortable using sales tools and technology.
Self-motivated, with a strong work ethic and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
