About the Role
Dexterous Applied Training Institute (DATI) is seeking an executive-level Business Development Manager to lead commercial execution, drive top-line revenue growth, and expand our corporate market footprint.
In this leadership position, you will design B2B sales strategies, spearhead enterprise client acquisition, structure high-stakes commercial agreements, oversee joint ventures and major tenders, model the revenue pipeline, and mentor a high-performing team of sales executives and tendering officers.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Sales & Revenue Leadership: Formulate and execute B2B corporate acquisition strategies to achieve annual departmental revenue goals and model predictable revenue pipelines.
- Executive Deal Closure & Partnerships: Lead high-level negotiations with C-suite executives, secure long-term institutional partnerships, and close strategic corporate accounts (focusing on Oil & Gas and Engineering sectors).
- Tendering & Proposal Oversight: Supervise the Bid & Tender Officer on major RFQs, RFPs, and portal registrations (e.g., NipeX, NAPIMS) to ensure margin targets and 100% compliance.
- Market Intelligence & Branding: Direct market research, evaluate competitor dynamics, identify industry skill gaps, and oversee DATI\'s brand strategy and market positioning.
- Team Leadership & Governance: Direct, coach, and evaluate performance for Business Development Executives and Tendering Officers while implementing departmental SOPs.
Qualifications & Key Requirements
- Education: Minimum of a B.Sc. (2nd Class Upper) or HND (Upper Credit) in Marketing, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline. A Master\'s degree is an added advantage.
- Experience: 8+ years of progressive experience in B2B corporate sales, revenue modelling, and commercial execution. Strong preference for candidates from the Oil & Gas or Technical Training sectors.
- Core Skills: Executive account acquisition, revenue forecasting, high-stakes contract negotiation, solution selling, tender management, joint venture structuring, and team leadership.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
