    Business Development Manager - Abuja

    • As the Business Development Manager for Ruff 'n' Tumble, you will be responsible for driving business growth through strategic partnerships, expanding the brand's retail presence, and identifying new business opportunities.
    • The successful candidate will be a dynamic and entrepreneurial professional with a strong understanding of the premium fashion industry and the ability to build lasting relationships with key stakeholders, including schools, corporate organizations, influencers, entertainment hubs, and affluent communities to strengthen brand awareness and market positioning.

    Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Partnerships

    • Identify, initiate, and manage strategic partnerships with premium organizations, including:
    • Schools
    • Entertainment and recreational/activity centres
    • Social clubs
    • Corporate organizations
    • High-net-worth communities
    • Build long-term relationships that drive customer acquisition and brand visibility.

    Sales Growth

    • Lead and oversee the sales team to consistently achieve and exceed revenue targets.
    • Analyze sales performance and market data to identify growth opportunities.
    • Develop and execute strategies that improve market penetration and profitability.

    Brand Development

    • Collaborate closely with the Marketing team to strengthen brand positioning.
    • Drive targeted campaigns, promotional events, partnerships, and collaborations with influencers and celebrities.
    • Increase brand visibility and customer engagement across the region.

    Retail & Wholesale Expansion

    • Identify and develop new retail and wholesale business opportunities.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with retail and wholesale partners.
    • Ensure consistent product availability and superior brand representation across all channels.

    Market & Customer Insights

    • Conduct regular market research to understand:
    • Customer preferences
    • Competitor activities
    • Industry trends
    • Translate insights into actionable business strategies and growth initiatives.

    Budget Management

    • Prepare and manage budgets for business development initiatives.
    • Ensure efficient allocation of resources and optimal return on investment.

    Team Leadership

    • Lead, coach, and mentor the regional sales team.
    • Foster a high-performance culture built on accountability, innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 5 years' experience in Business Development, Sales, or related commercial roles, preferably within:
    • Premium/Luxury Retail
    • Fashion
    • Children's Apparel
    • Demonstrated success in expanding business within competitive markets.
    • Strong understanding of the premium/luxury retail landscape and consumer behaviour in the children's fashion industry.
    • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
    • Experience managing both B2B and B2C sales channels.
    • Proficiency in market analysis, business planning, and financial forecasting.
    • Willingness to travel within Nigeria when required.
