    Business Development Executive

    Job Purpose

    Manage and execute Montego’s business development strategy, coordinating efforts at building and extracting maximum value from business relationships and partnerships.

    PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

    • Accountable for identifying, evaluating, and pursuing business opportunities with partners or potential customers.
    • Responsible for assessing opportunities for their potential to create long-term value and determining available paths for pursuing those opportunities.
    • Develop and maintain strong, respect-based relationships with existing and new clients.
    • Develop, present and implement plans for acquiring new partners/customers, including activity breakdowns, performance milestones, resource requirements and expense budget.
    • Negotiate terms and administer contracts with prospective clients in line with Montego’s pricing/tariffing template.
    • Coordinate and negotiate with other departments within Montego for synergy of implementing initiatives.
    • Coordinate the development of marketing and communication materials for engagements.
    • Research and provide timely, periodic and relevant market information and analytics as well as competitive intelligence to guide investment decisions.
    • Prepare detailed business plans which cover relevant goals and objectives.
    • Contribute to the development of the annual budget for the Business Development Department.
    • Generate reports of KPIs for monthly/quarterly business development reviews.
    • Maintain all prospective customer data in the company database and use the information contained therein for prospective customer and partner interactions.
    • Demonstrate accountability for the team performance against set goals.
    • REQUISITE QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
    • A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics or a related field. An MBA will be an added advantage.
    • Must have at least 5 years work experience in a similar function. Must have at least 1-year experience in a supervisory role, with proven capacity to supervise a high performance functional team.
