The Business Development Executive will drive sales and growth across Flying Doctors Nigeria’s key service lines:
Emergency Membership Plans
Medical Equipment
Healthcare Infrastructure
Medical Consumables and
Medical Remote Site Structuring & Management.
The role requires identifying business opportunities, building strong client partnerships, and securing contracts that enhance access to life-saving medical services and healthcare solutions.
Responsibilities
Emergency Membership Plan: Promote membership plans to corporates, HNIs, and organizations, highlighting the benefits of emergency evacuation and medical response.
Medical Equipment: Identify prospects in hospitals, clinics, and government health projects; pitch and close sales of advanced medical technology and devices.
Healthcare Infrastructure: Develop proposals for large-scale healthcare infrastructure projects (hospitals, diagnostic centers, mobile clinics).
Medical Consumables: Drive consistent sales and supply contracts for critical consumables to hospitals, pharmacies, and NGOs.
Remote Site Structuring & Management: Generate leads with oil & gas, mining, and construction firms for setting up and managing onsite healthcare facilities.
General BD Duties:
Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and emerging needs in healthcare and emergency services.
Build and maintain relationships with corporate clients, government bodies, NGOs, and international organizations.
Prepare and deliver persuasive business proposals, bids, and presentations.
Negotiate contracts, ensure compliance, and close deals to meet revenue targets.
Collaborate with internal teams (operations, finance) to ensure smooth execution of signed projects.
Maintain accurate CRM records of leads, opportunities, and closed deals.
Represent Flying Doctors Nigeria at conferences, exhibitions, and industry forums.
Provide periodic performance reports and revenue forecasts to the management.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Economics, or related field.
3–5 years’ proven experience in business development, sales, client acquisition, with operations managing multiple projects and stakeholders (preferably in healthcare, aviation,or related industries).
Strong understanding of healthcare products, infrastructure projects, and emergency response systems.
Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
Ability to work under pressure, travel occasionally, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
