    Business Development Executive

    Job Summary

    • We are looking for a dynamic, target-driven, and creative Business Development Executive to join the team in Lagos and Abuja.
    • The ideal candidate will focus on acquiring new clients (brands, corporates, and agencies), expanding existing accounts, and driving sustainable revenue growth for the agency.
    • You will be at the forefront of pitching integrated marketing campaigns, branding projects, events, and communication strategies to help clients achieve their business objectives.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Identify and generate new business opportunities with brands, corporates, SMEs, and other organizations seeking marketing, branding, and communication services.
    • Develop and execute aggressive business development strategies to meet monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.
    • Build and nurture strong relationships with potential and existing clients across various sectors (FMCG, Telecom, Finance, Real Estate, Government, NGOs, etc.).
    • Conduct market research to understand client needs, industry trends, and competitive landscape in the advertising and marketing industry.
    • Prepare compelling proposals, pitch decks, media plans, and integrated campaign strategies tailored to client objectives.
    • Pitch 360-degree marketing solutions including ATL, BTL, digital marketing, branding, experiential activations, events, and POSM fabrication/deployment.
    • Negotiate contracts, scope of work, pricing, and terms with clients while protecting agency margins.
    • Manage the full sales cycle — from lead generation and qualification to proposal, negotiation, and successful closure.
    • Collaborate closely with the Creative, Account Management, and Operations teams to ensure seamless project delivery and client satisfaction.
    • Represent the agency at networking events, industry conferences, client meetings, and marketing forums.
    • Maintain an active sales pipeline and provide accurate weekly/monthly forecasts and performance reports.

    Requirements & Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Mass Communication, Advertising, or a related field. A Master’s degree is an added advantage.
    • 3–5 years of proven experience in Business Development/Sales within a Marketing Communications Agency, Advertising Agency, Events Company, or Media Agency.
    • Strong portfolio of successfully closed deals and client wins in the marketing/branding space.
    • Excellent understanding of the Nigerian marketing and advertising industry, including ATL, BTL, digital, and experiential marketing.
    • Exceptional communication, presentation, negotiation, and storytelling skills.
    • Ability to develop creative marketing solutions and articulate value propositions convincingly.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially PowerPoint for pitch decks) and comfortable with CRM tools.
    • Self-motivated with a strong hunter mentality and ability to work independently in a fast-paced agency environment.
    • Willingness to travel within Lagos and occasionally across Nigeria for client meetings and activations.
