    Business Development and Sales Executive

    Position Overview

    • Business Development and Sales Executives are the company’s brand ambassadors, frontline relationship builders, and business generators. They will spend more time in the market, with companies/clients building relations, scoping their needs and requirements, creating demands for products and solutions, channeling the strength of the company & the ability to solve the pain points of the client and make them ready to get to the next phase of business cycle i.e. sales. They will also observe and understand the ongoing business development trends and practices in the market, and feed it back to the team leader to adapt to it and identify differentiation strategies. They will develop market insights to help the team prioritize and strategize go-to-market plans to align with the company’s growth goals. 
    • The business development and sales executive is responsible for identifying, nurturing, and acquiring new clients and business opportunities to drive growth and profitability. S/he will work very closely with the product and partner/vendor relations team on the competitive positioning and the feature set as well as with marketing to develop the most productive definition of the value proposition, the identification of the most effective communication channels, and the most cost/effective lead generation process. The process will be based on continuous and close interaction with potential customers, which involves carrying out major elements of traditional marketing and sales functions, such as building relations, requirement gathering, lead generation, nurturing, and opportunity qualification. The business development and sales executive will also be responsible to feed in the information and insights to the Product and Vendor team. S/He will also identify and define the decision-making structures of market/industry segments and outline outreach/communication hierarchy to align with the company’s internal team structure.
    • He or she will support the leadership in achieving the sales and revenue target by developing and carrying out execution strategy, and also closely collaborate with the Director of Business Development and Sales in strategizing product and sales alignment and curating promotional strategies to support business development and sales initiatives. 

    Roles and Responsibilities

    • Research and identify new business opportunities – including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products, and services – or new ways of reaching existing markets
    • Develop, execute, and oversee business strategy that prioritizes growth, both financial and reputational, create market development plans and forecast sales targets and growth
    • Think strategically – seeing the bigger picture and setting aims and objectives to develop and improve the business; work strategically – carrying out necessary planning to implement operational changes
    • Have a good understanding of the businesses products or services and be able to advise others about them; discuss promotional strategy and activities with the marketing department, attend seminars, conferences, and events where appropriate
    • Understand the market, undertake research and analysis to understand how a certain industry and industry segment works, consider the people, organization, processes, information, data, technology, regulations, and compliance, and identify and elaborate user and business needs to enable effective product placement aligning with organizational goals.
    • Identify key players in specific industry/market segmentation; seek out the appropriate contact in an organization, foster and develop relationships with customers/clients, understand the needs of customers, and be able to respond effectively with a plan of how to meet them
    • Offer the best product/solution available to solve customer’s pain points, conduct product pitches and demos, handle the questions and objections from the client, facilitate the conversation with OEM whenever necessary
    • Plan and execute customer onboarding plans, develop/agree/approve documentation and compliance, and set up post-sales customer service/success pathways and close the deal.

    • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field; master’s degree preferred
    • At least 3+ years’  of relevant experience
