A Business Analyst bridges the gap between an organization’s strategic goals and its technology solutions.
They gather, analyze, and document business requirements, help stakeholders define problems, and recommend data‑driven improvements that increase efficiency and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Meet with stakeholders to understand current processes, challenges, and objectives.
Document functional and non‑functional requirements using models such as use cases, user stories, and data flow diagrams.
Analyze data to uncover trends, opportunities, and risks; present findings to leadership.
Translate business needs into technical specifications for developers and testers.
Facilitate workshops, interviews, and JAD sessions to elicit and validate requirements.
Support the development team during implementation, handling change requests and clarifying details.
Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) and assist with training and rollout.
Track project progress, prepare status reports, and ensure alignment with timelines and budgets.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field (MBA or relevant certification is a plus).
2 ‑ 3 years of experience in business analysis, consulting, or a similar role.
Strong analytical skills and proficiency with tools such as Excel, SQL, PowerBI, Tableau, or similar.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or other project‑management methodologies.
Ability to think critically, manage ambiguity, and influence stakeholders at all levels.
