    Bursar

    The Job

    • The Bursar is the Chief Financial Officer of the University. He/she shall be responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the day-to-day administration and control of financial affairs of the University.

    The Candidate

    • The candidate should be a person with integrity, transparency, competence, vision, proven academic distinction and managerial ability in financial matters.
    • Must not be above 60 years of age at the time of appointment.

    Qualification & Experience

    • The candidate must possess a good honours Degree in Accounting from a recognized university. Possession of a higher degree is an advantage.
    • Must be a qualified member of a professional body such as ICAN, ACCA, ANAN, CPA.
    • Must have a minimum of fifteen (15) years' experience as a professional accountant and of which a minimum of three (3) years must be in a University.
    • Must be computer literate with a working knowledge of relevant accounting packages.
    • Must possess NYSC Discharge certificate or evidence of Exemption.

    Salary and Conditions of Service
    The salary and conditions of service shall be as negotiated with the Governing Council.

    Method of Application

    interested and qualified candidates should submit 15 copies of their Applications along with 15 copies of the candidates' Curriculum Vitae which shall contain the following:

    • Full name,
    • Date of Birth,
    • Phone Number(s) & email address.
    • Religion and denomination,
    • Marital status, Number of children with age, vi. Educational Qualifications with dates,
    • Nationality,
    • Names and contacts of three referees,
    • Any other relevant information.

    The application with the Curriculum Vitae should be sent under confidential cover in an envelope sealed and marked "Post Of Bursar, Veritas University, Abuja" and addressed to:
    The Registrar and Secretary to Council,
    Veritas University,
    Abuja.

    Note

    • Every candidate shall submit 15 copies of statement of his/her own vision and mission for the university in the next five (5) years.
    • The referees should forward their reports on the candidates directly to the Registrar and Secretary to Council.
    • Any one received after this time shall be declared void.
