    Budget Analyst

    Job Summary

    This role will be expected to support the Finance Team to ensure proper budget monitoring, management, and timely reporting to the Chief Financial Officer. Incumbent will work with all managers in the various units to ensure proper alignment on Budgetary matters.

    Responsibilities

    • Prepare cash forecasts and manage cash flows/cycles.
    • Compile annual budget for the company’s strategic focus
    • Implement approved budget which involves budgetary control and cost management.
    • Analyses financial performance and contribute to medium and long-term business planning/forecasts.
    • Generates performance reports and profitability analyses.
    • Generates variance analysis and commentaries with respect to personnel cost, revenue, and cost variance.
    • Monitors and evaluates financial information systems and suggests improvements where needed.
    • Responsible for establishing and maintaining financial policies
    • Ensure compliance with financial regulations
    • Ensure Company maximizes OEM rebates.
    • Identify gaps between OEM partnership requirements and Company’s achievement.
    • Interprets and communicates financial data to non-financial managers.
    • Provide support services by working with all departments and the management team to help make financial decisions.
    • Advises line managers on the financial implications and consequences of business decisions.
    • Offers professional judgement on financial matters and advises on ways of improving business performance.
    • Liaises with other function managers to put the finances and accounts in context.

    • Accounting and Financial Reporting; Knowledge of applicable regulations and reporting standards – IFRS.

    • Proficient use of MS Office Applications especially Excel

    Requirements

    • First degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics or related course
    • Professional accounting qualification e.g. ICAN, ACCA, CIMA with understanding of IFRS principles is preferred.
    • Minimum of 5-7 years accounting and financial management experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory position.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage and interface with large multi-functional project teams.
    • Experience using accounting software.
    • Knowledge of Telecommunications Industry
