The Brand Designer at VARD Media is responsible for the visual identity of every brand in our portfolio, starting with VARD Media itself. You are not just a graphic designer who executes briefs. You are a visual strategist who builds complete design systems: logos, colour palettes, typography, and the rules that govern how a brand is seen across every platform and format.
What you'll do
Design and deliver complete brand identity systems for new clients: logo, colour palette, typography, and design guidelines.
Build a detailed design guide for each client that all departments must follow without exception.
Define VARD Media's own brand visual identity as your first major deliverable.
Produce graphic and carousel designs for both client social content and VARD Media in-house content.
Work closely with Content Creators and Motion Graphics Designers to ensure every piece of content is on-brand.
Maintain and update brand assets as clients evolve.
Provide visual direction on shoots when needed, and ensure the physical environment matches the brand identity.
Stay current on design trends without being enslaved to them. VARD Media output must feel original.
What we're looking for
3+ years of brand design or visual identity experience.
Strong portfolio showing complete brand identity systems (not just individual graphics).
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and/or Figma.
Understanding of how design translates across digital platforms: Instagram, TikTok, websites.
Ability to build and document design systems that non-designers can follow.
Experience designing for Nigerian brands or an understanding of the Lagos market is a plus.
Confident in presenting and defending design decisions to clients and colleagues.
