Job Summary:

• The Branch Expansion Officer is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and executing branch expansion opportunities in alignment with the organization's growth strategy. This role involves market research, site selection, feasibility analysis, regulatory compliance, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful branch openings.

Job Responsibilities:

Market Research & Feasibility Analysis:

• Conduct in-depth market research to identify high-potential locations for new branches.
• Analyze demographics, customer trends, and competitor presence in target areas.
• Assess business feasibility, including financial projections, cost-benefit analysis, and risk evaluation.

Site Selection & Acquisition:

• Identify and evaluate potential branch locations based on strategic business objectives.
• Collaborate with real estate agents, landlords, and property managers for lease negotiation.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and legal requirements for site acquisition.

Regulatory & Compliance Oversight:

• Liaise with relevant government agencies to secure necessary permits and approvals.
• Ensure adherence to industry regulations, zoning laws, and environmental considerations.
• Work with legal and compliance teams to facilitate smooth branch setup.

Project Management & Branch Setup:

• Develop and execute project plans for branch openings, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Coordinate with internal departments (operations, IT, HR, finance) for seamless setup.
• Oversee construction, renovations, and furnishing to meet corporate branding and operational standards.

Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration

• Work closely with senior management to align expansion strategies with organizational goals.
• Build relationships with community leaders and key stakeholders to ensure smooth entry into new markets.
• Partner with marketing teams to create awareness and visibility for new branches.

Performance Monitoring & Optimization:

• Track and evaluate the performance of newly opened branches against business targets.
• Recommend optimization strategies for underperforming locations.
• Provide periodic reports and insights to senior management on expansion progress.

Job Qualification & Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Real Estate, or related field.
• 3-7 years of experience in branch expansion, business development, or strategic planning (preferably in banking, microfinance, or retail sector).
• Strong understanding of market analysis, financial modeling, and real estate acquisition.
• Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements related to branch expansion
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong project management and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and market research tools.
