    Branch Accountant

    Job Responsibilities:

    As the Branch Accountant and Procurement Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial health and operational efficiency of our company's branch office in Lagos. Your responsibilities encompass a wide range of financial, procurement, and client-focused activities. Here are your key responsibilities:

    Financial Management:

    1. Financial Reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements for the branch office.

    2. Invoice Management: Oversee the creation, issuance, and tracking of invoices for products and services rendered to clients, ensuring timely payment collections.

    3. Expense Control: Monitor and control branch expenses, seeking cost-saving opportunities while maintaining operational quality.

    4. Supply Request Processing: Review and approve supply requests from various departments within the branch, ensuring they align with budgetary constraints.

    Procurement Management:

    5. Market Research: Conduct comprehensive market research on products and services required by the branch, identifying suppliers, and assessing market trends to inform procurement decisions.

    6. Request for Quotes (RFQs): Respond to client RFQs promptly and accurately, preparing competitive quotations based on market research and cost analysis.

    7. Supplier Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating favorable terms and pricing agreements to secure cost-effective procurement.

    8. Inventory Control: Manage branch inventory levels, ensuring adequate stock availability while minimizing excess or obsolete inventory.

    9. Quality Assurance: Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure that procured products meet the company's quality standards and specifications.

    Logistics and Client Service:

    10. Goods Transportation: Coordinate and facilitate the transportation of goods from the branch office to various clients within Lagos, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.

    12. Client Relations: Maintain positive relationships with clients, addressing their inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.

    13. Client Satisfaction: Monitor client satisfaction levels and proactively address any issues to enhance overall service quality.

    Compliance and Documentation:

    14. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all financial and procurement regulations, company policies, and relevant laws.

    15. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of financial transactions, procurement activities, and client interactions, ensuring all documentation is organized and readily accessible.

    Qualifications and Skills:

    - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
    - Professional certification if any.
    - Proven experience in financial management and procurement, with a minimum of 5 years in a similar role.
    - Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial software and tools.
    - Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    - Knowledge of procurement best practices and supply chain management.
    - Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
    - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment..
