Bookkeeper / Junior Accountant at Radio Now FM

Job Summary

• The Bookkeeper is responsible for managing and recording all financial transactions of the organization.
• This includes maintaining ledgers, processing invoices, preparing bank reconciliations, and assisting in the preparation of financial reports to ensure compliance and accuracy in all financial matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Record day-to-day financial transactions and ensure accuracy in the general ledger.
• Maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable records.
• Prepare and process invoices, receipts, and payments.
• Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts monthly.
• Monitor cash flow and report discrepancies or irregularities.
• Maintain payroll records and assist in processing staff salaries.
• Prepare basic financial reports such as profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies.
• Assist accountants or auditors during financial reviews or audits.
• Organize and maintain financial documentation for easy retrieval.

Qualifications and Skills

• OND, HND, or a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a bookkeeper, accountant, or finance officer.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping procedures.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or Excel).
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
