Biller Product Manager at PalmPay

We are looking for an experienced Business Operations Manager who is passionate about our mission of driving financial inclusion in Africa. An ideal candidate will help to review and adjust inventory levels and product production schedules to maintain product availability.

Job Responsibilities:

• Excellent written and oral communication skills are required since the Product Manager has to communicate with team members, other departments, upper management and consumers of the company’s products.
• Familiar with the Vas (Biller) product or market including specific technical or industry knowledge (Airtime, Data, Electricity, Betting etc.)
• Ability to write requirements documentation, and communicate with IT developer, urge it to go live in a timely manner.
• Ability to maintain a keen attention to detail, especial on response code, and can fix the error response code as soon as possible.
• Natural tendency to be curious, positive and creative.
• Team player who collaborates well with others
• Sincere empathy for the customer and a commitment to delving deep into the challenges they present or experience.
• Comparing the company’s products to competitor’s products in order to assess competition in the market.  
• Providing management with analyses and reports and responding to questions and requests from management

Person Specification:

• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering or any related field, or equivalent experience is required.
• Previous experience as a Business Operations Manager or in a similar role, in a bank or Fintech.
• Proficient ability to manage complex budgets.
• Good knowledge of operations management
• Experience with forecasting models
