BI Business Analyst at Kuda Bank

Role Overview

We’re looking for a passionate and versatile Business Analyst working in the BI space who can analyze and communicate Data Engineering, BI & Analytic requirements via collaborations with key stakeholders as well as the BI team.

You will proactively gather data and reporting requirements, capture the requirements in technical writing, size the requirements, and assist the stakeholders and the BI team to set the correct delivery timeline and priority. You will also take on scrum mastering and project management responsibilities within the Data and Decision Science team.

Responsibilities:

• Engage in product planning stage to provide input from Data Engineering, BI and Analytic perspective
• Gather and document requirements for Data Engineering, BI and Analytic perspective
• Assist the team to translate the requirements into tasks in the form of Jira tickets
• Assist the team to size the Jira tickets
• Assist the stakeholders and the BI team to set the correct delivery timeline and priority
• Manage the change process - making sure that the requirements and the Jira tickets are up-to-date, and the team delivery is aligned with business priorities
• Manage the change process - guide the business to review priorities with concise communications in cases when the requirements change will require a priority change
• Act as scrum master in sprint reviews and plannings
• Manage and maintain BI data dictionary and business glossary

Requirements

• 4+ Years of experience in a Business Analyst role, with some of them in the BI space
• A good understanding of ERD and database design patterns
• A good understanding of UML and its equivalent business analytic models
• Strong knowledge and proven experience using SQL
• Strong knowledge and proven experience using Jira
• Good knowledge and experience in scrum mastering and project management
• Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills
• Excellent documentation skills
• Excellent communication skills
• The ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions
• Advance technical skills
• A degree in the information technology field or relevant industry certification (e.g., Statistics, Economics, Math, Science, Engineering)
• Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills
