RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate and monitor batching plant equipment to produce concrete according to specified mix designs.
• Ensure proper calibration of scales and batching systems.
• Coordinate with supervisors and truck drivers for timely dispatch of ready-mix concrete.
• Maintain and manage raw material inventory (cement, sand, aggregates, admixtures, etc.).
• Conduct routine inspections and can minor maintenance of the batching plant and related equipment.
• Record daily production data and prepare batch reports.
• Troubleshoot equipment fault sand communicate major issues to maintenance teams.
• Ensure all operations comply with environmental and safety regulations.
• Keep the batching area clean and organized.
• Assist in quality control procedures, including slump testing and temperature checks.
• Reporting unsafe acts and unsafe conditions.
• Reporting HSE hazards and incidents
• Removing yourself from unsafe conditions
• Compliance with all TSL HSE Policies and procedures

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in operating a concrete batching plant.
• Strong understanding of concrete mix designs and production processes.
• Familiarity with computerized batching systems with the ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
• Attention to detail, good organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure.
• Basic mechanical skills and ability to perform minor repairs.

Qualifications and Educational Requirements

• HND or equivalent, technical training in concrete or plant operations will be an advantage
