About This Position

• The Bar Back is the operational backbone of the bar. This role ensures that bartenders have everything they need to deliver fast, efficient, and high-quality service. The Bar Back is responsible for stocking, cleanliness, preparation, and maintaining seamless bar operations at all times.

Responsibilities

Bar Stock & Replenishment

• Ensure all drinks, mixers, garnishes, and bar supplies are fully stocked before and during operations
• Refill ice bins, restock beverages, and monitor inventory levels in real time
• Assist in moving stock from storage to the bar efficiently

Bartender Support

• Provide immediate support to bartenders during peak periods
• Prepare basic items such as garnishes (lemon, lime, mint, etc.)
• Ensure glassware, tools, and ingredients are always available

Cleanliness & Hygiene

• Maintain a clean and organized bar area at all times
• Wash and polish glassware continuously
• Clear empty bottles, used items, and waste promptly

Setup & Closing Duties

• Assist in bar setup before opening (stocking, cleaning, arrangement)
• Support closing operations including cleaning, restocking, and shutdown procedures

Inventory & Control Support

• Monitor stock usage and report shortages or breakages
• Assist in stock counts and basic inventory tracking
• Prevent wastage and ensure proper handling of bar items

Requirements

• Previous experience in a bar, lounge, or hospitality environment is an advantage
• Physically fit and able to work long hours on your feet
• Fast, attentive, and able to work under pressure
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Basic understanding of bar operations is a plus
