Backend Engineer at Jeroid Ltd

Job Overview:

• We are seeking a talented and driven Backend Software Engineer with PHP and Blockchain experience. This role involves owning the entire cycle of designing, developing, and scaling key services for our partners and millions of users. You will work with the entire product development team to build and improve our existing systems while developing new features.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and maintain robust backend systems 
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate blockchain solutions into our system
• Develop and implement secure, scalable APIs and services that support high transaction volumes
• Troubleshoot, optimize, and enhance existing backend applications, ensuring reliability and efficiency.
• Integrate with third-party services, financial institutions and blockchain networks
• Implement data storage solutions and manage database performance
• Stay current with emerging blockchain technologies and backend development best practices.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned to you.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor\'s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience with Blockchain technologies.
• 4+ years of experience in software development
• Excellent knowledge of PHP and experience developing applications using Laravel
• Conduct testing of new features and functionality to ensure that they meet quality standards
• Work with containers, messaging services to ensure that put products are scalable and reliable
• Knowledge of cloud services is important (AWS preferred)
• Experience working in Blockchain technology
• Experience integrating with crypto wallets and managing blockchain transactions.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Experience working with startups both domestically and internationally is a plus.
