Backend Developer at Altara Credit Ltd ("Altara”)

Job Description

• We are looking to hire a Backend Developer. This is a role where you will report directly to the Senior Manager of Technology. In this capacity, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable and efficient backend systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable and efficient backend systems.
• Write clean, well-documented, and efficient code.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement new features.
• Ensure the backend systems are secure and protected from common security threats.
• Participate in code reviews and help maintain code quality.
• Stay up to date with the latest web development trends and technologies.
• Work with the frontend team to integrate with the frontend.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 2 years work experience.
• Proficient in PHP, Laravel, Python, Docker, and Node.js
• Strong experience in developing and maintaining backend systems
• Understanding of RESTful API design and implementation
• Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, including MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB
• Experience with cloud computing platforms
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal
