Back-End Developer at Mitera Health

Responsibilities:

• Develop complex, high-quality backend for mobile and web applications using Java Spring Boot
• Efficiently manage application state using techniques like Provider, Riverpod, or Bloc.
• Integrate Firebase services (e.g., Firestore, Firebase Authentication) to provide robust backend functionality.
• Make API calls, handle responses, and ensure seamless data integration.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers and product managers, in an Agile or Scrum environment.
• Follow coding best practices, emphasizing maintainability, efficiency, and reliability.
• Stay updated with the latest technology upgrades and software advancements to enhance workflow application development.
• Continuously seek opportunities to improve code quality, performance, and scalability.
• Utilize package management tools like Pub, Firebase and implement new designs with proper documentation when necessary.
• Pay meticulous attention to detail, ensuring code quality and identifying and resolving bugs.
• Prioritize the success of the product, delivering user-friendly software that aligns with business goals.
• Avoid rushing through tasks and maintain a commitment to code quality, minimizing errors in the codebase.
• Backend Development Experience ( Java Spring Boot )
• Experience in developing in cloud environments (Google Cloud Provider - GCP preferred)
• Experience in developing RESTful API
• "Can-do" attitude and strong people skills 
• Ensure that highly resilient services are achieved by fault-tolerant and self-healing functionalities

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in Java development.
• Strong portfolio showcasing previous java spring boot experience..
• Proficiency in Java programming language.
• Experience with version control systems, eg Git.
• Familiarity with testing and debugging tools and methodologies.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Open-source contributions related to Java Spring Boot are a bonus.
