Back End Developer at Kredete

We are looking for a talented and high impact Backend Engineer to drive our growth, he/she will be responsible for the you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend systems that power our applications.

What You Will Do:

• Design and implement RESTful APIs
• Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
• Implement security and data protection measures
• Write clean, maintainable code and conduct thorough code reviews. Troubleshoot and debug issues
• Investigate defect reports from products, isolate their causes, inform development teams for fixing and retest to ensure adequate resolutions.
• Profound knowledge of MongoDB & mongoose ODM (SQL & PostgreSQL a plus)
• Ability to understand specifications and API requirements
• Understanding of asynchronous programming and event-driven architecture
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
• Excellent communication, attention to detail and collaboration abilities
• Provide root cause analysis and solve all user issues on the backend
• Ability to make sound decisions quickly and efficiently.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and best practices

Who You Are:

• Proficiency in NestJS & Typescript
• 5 Years Experience as a backend engineer in the Fintech space
• Profound knowledge of MongoDB & mongoose ODM (SQL & PostgreSQL a plus)
• Ability to understand specifications and API requirements
• Understanding of asynchronous programming and event-driven architecture
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
• Work cross-functionally with Product, Design, Support etc.
• Familiarity with ticketing (Intercom, Freshdesk) systems and JIRA
• Technical exposure in any of these will be a plus to be successful in the role – API Development and testing, Working with Web Services, Programming languages like Java, JavaScript, API Integration.
• Excellent communications, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
