AWS DevOps Engineer - Mid/Senior Level at New Vision Institute of Technology

About the job

• As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and managing the client's AWS cloud infrastructure while leveraging your expertise in four of the following key areas: ELK, Kafka, Operations, and CI/CD. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud computing, automation, and a passion for ensuring efficient and reliable software delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure solutions.
• Utilize your expertise in at least four of the following areas: ELK, Kafka, Operations, and CI/CD, to optimize system performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Develop and implement CI/CD pipelines to automate software build, test, and deployment processes.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues across the infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Implement security best practices to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of the cloud environment.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members as required.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve NVIT's DevOps practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Mid/Senior-level experience as a DevOps Engineer with a focus on AWS cloud computing.
• Proficiency in using the AWS ecosystem and services for building and managing cloud infrastructure.
• Expertise in at least four of the following areas: ELK (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), Kafka, Operations, and CI/CD.
• Strong scripting and automation skills (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Solid understanding of networking concepts and security best practices within cloud environments.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive and collaborative attitude.
• Relevant AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are a plus.
• Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
