Position Summary

• The Aviation Manager will report to the Director of Aviation and oversee the operations of the company’s aviation department. This role requires a strategic leader with extensive experience in aviation management, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will ensure safe, cost-effective, and efficient aviation services tailored to the Nigerian aviation landscape.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A master’s degree is an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of NCAA regulations and other relevant Nigerian aviation laws.
• Proven experience in aviation operations management, preferably within a corporate or commercial aviation setting.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong financial acumen and experience managing aviation budgets.
• Ability to work under pressure and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the scheduling, dispatching, and overall management of corporate flight operations.
• Ensure full compliance with NCAA regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.
• Manage aviation personnel, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluation.
• Develop and implement policies to optimize safety, efficiency, and cost management.
• Monitor operational expenses, negotiate vendor contracts, and manage budgetary allocations.
• Collaborate with senior management to align aviation services with corporate objectives.
• Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and compliance reviews.
• Stay updated on industry trends and recommend enhancements to improve operations.

Work Environment

• The role requires occasional travel within and outside Nigeria.
• Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as necessary.
