    Automobile Technician

    Job Overview

    • The Automobile Technician is responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of vehicles in line with manufacturer specifications and workshop standards.
    • The ideal candidate is technically sound, efficient, and committed to quality service delivery.

    Key Duties & Responsibilities
    Vehicle Diagnostics & Repairs:

    • Diagnose faults in engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, steering systems, and electrical components.
    • Carry out mechanical and electrical repairs and servicing on cars, SUVs, and light-duty vehicles.
    • Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify issues and ensure accurate fixes.
    • Perform test drives and quality checks before job completion.

    Maintenance & Preventive Care:

    • Conduct periodic maintenance and inspection according to schedules.
    • Identify worn or defective parts and recommend replacements.
    • Ensure all work is carried out in line with safety and quality protocols.

    Workshop Operations:

    • Update job cards and service reports accurately.
    • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of assigned work areas.
    • Collaborate with service advisors and parts department for efficient job flow.
    • Comply with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.

    Requirements

    • Possession of Trade Test Certification (Grade I, II, or III) in Mechanical or Electrical Auto Work.
    • Minimum of 5 years' practical experience in automotive repairs and diagnostics.
    • Strong technical knowledge of vehicle systems and workshop procedures.
    • Hands-on experience using diagnostic tools and service equipment.
    • Experience with Toyota and Ford vehicles will be a strong added advantage.
    • Ability to read and interpret service manuals and repair instructions.
    • Good teamwork, communication, and time management skills.
