Automation Engineer at Rovedana

Job Description: 

• We are seeking to hire an experienced Automation Engineer for our client, a “Tech Company” with their partners and businesses across Europe and Middle East.
• The Ideal candidate will take a crucial role in building an efficient, reliable, and transparent software production and deployment system and will also create and implement a strategy to achieve fully automated pipelines, unified across all teams in the department.
• You will enable the teams to gain insight into data about builds, tests, and deployments by creating and operating dashboards, messaging, and alerting systems.
• You will be on the lookout for recurring, manual work-intense processes and you will propose and implement ways of automating them.

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for setting up and operating robust CI/CD pipelines, test automation flows, and dashboards. You have a passion for applying DevOps best practices.
• Performing event-driven, asynchronous microservices.
• Working on data stores and large-scale data processing platforms is a plus.
• Perform service orchestration and containerization.
• Documenting of best practices and articulating process improvements
• Developing automations and/or applications
• Build elegant, scalable, extensible, cost-effective solutions with an eye toward innovation and agility.
• Utilize problem-solving and decision-making skills to understand client pain points and to self-troubleshoot as challenges arise.
• Automating management and maintenance tasks using PowerShell and native Azure automation capabilities.
• Work in an agile environment with participation in daily stand-ups/scrum.

Requirement:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• 4 plus Years’ experience as an Automation Engineer in setting up and operating robust CI/CD pipelines, test automation flows, and dashboards.
• Experience with Azure DevOps platform and Git. You are proficient with at least one major scripting language and are not afraid of the command line.
• Experience scripting in PowerShell or other scripting languages to automate repetitive work.
• Working knowledge of pipelines and repos in Microsoft Azure DevOps is a plus.
• Familiarity with SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) or similar DevOps framework is a plus.
• Open to learning new things and picking them up quickly, this includes new skills, environments, and people skills, and being resilient.
