Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Auto Mechanic to join our automobile manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling, inspecting, testing, diagnosing, and repairing vehicle systems and components to ensure that all vehicles meet company quality, safety, and performance standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble and install mechanical components and systems in vehicles during the manufacturing process.
• Conduct inspections, diagnostics, and functional tests on vehicles and automotive systems.
• Identify mechanical faults and carry out necessary repairs and adjustments.
• Repair and maintain engines, transmissions, suspension systems, braking systems, steering systems, and other vehicle components.
• Use diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot mechanical issues.
• Ensure all work complies with company quality standards and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality control, and production teams to resolve technical issues.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities.
• Follow standard operating procedures and manufacturer specifications.
• Keep work areas, tools, and equipment clean, organized, and in good working condition.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Minimum of OND, Trade Test Certificate, Technical College Certificate, or equivalent qualification in Automobile Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2–5 years of experience as an Auto Mechanic in an automobile manufacturing company, automotive workshop, or vehicle maintenance environment.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle systems, engine diagnostics, and automotive repair techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, drawings, and specifications.
• Familiarity with automotive diagnostic equipment and tools.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Professional certifications in automotive repair or maintenance will be an added advantage.
