Conduct internal audits of inventory, expense reports, financial statements, and other financial records.
Develop and implement audit procedures to protect the company's assets and minimize the risk of fraud or error.
Analyze data to substantiate any deficiencies in controls, excessive expenses, duplication of effort, fraud, or lack of compliance with laws, regulations, management policies, and procedures.
Analyze and evaluate financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Work with cross-functional teams to coordinate and share findings from audits.
Prepare reports on audit findings and recommendations for corrective actions to management.
Provide inputs for improvements in internal control systems, processes, avenues for cost savings, and revenue leakages
Prepare a risk-based Internal Audit plan and execute the Audits as per the plan with proper resource utilization and within a timeframe.
Conduct investigations into suspected instances of fraud or financial misconduct.
Stay up-to-date with relevant accounting standards, laws, and regulations.
Engage in continuous knowledge development regarding the sector’s rules, regulations, best practices, tools, techniques, and performance standards
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 3-5 years experience as an auditor, preferably in the FMCG industry.
Extensive knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and audit methodologies.
Proficiency in data, financial, and strategy analysis.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
The ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other accounting software.
Must be resident within the same city or willing to relocate.
