Audit Manager at Churchgate Group

Job Summary: 

This role is responsible for strengthening internal controls and ensuring financial integrity through comprehensive audit planning, revenue assurance, and compliance oversight. Key duties include developing and executing risk-based audit plans, reviewing rent rolls, lease agreements, and contractor billings to safeguard revenue and control costs, and streamlining procurement and facility processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Audit Planning: Develop and execute a daily, monthly, and annual risk-based internal audit plan in line with company policy.
• Revenue Assurance: Audit rent rolls, lease agreements, and commission payouts to ensure complete and accurate revenue collection.
• Facility and Procurement process overview: Review contractor billings and procurement estimate processes; review budget variances to prevent cost overruns. Streamline indent to Work order / PO approval processes.
• Develop framework on advances to suppliers and Contractors.
• Compliance & Governance: Ensure strict adherence to local real estate law, lease-related taxes, and property taxes by working hand in hand with the Tax cell and legal department.
• Executive Reporting: Present clear, objective audit findings and actionable remediation plans directly to the Head of Accounts after interaction with the Head of Sales, Facility, and Procurement regarding all issues relating to their department.

Education: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

Professional Qualification:    

• CIA (Certified Internal Auditor).
• ACA is highly preferred.

Experience: 15 + years in internal audit, with at least 5years specifically within the real estate,

property management sector.

Skills Required:       

• Proficiency in real estate ERP software is an added advantage.
