Associate, FX Trading at Flutterwave

The role:

Flutterwave is looking for an Associate, FX Trading, whose primary responsibility will be to support treasury operations, FX trading, liquidity management and provide analyses across all treasury functions including risk/FX management, forecasting, and reporting

What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be Like 

• Oversee the maintenance of company funds and develop various reports regarding treasury trading transactions, monitor cash flow analysis that provides information on liquidity
• Establish strong working partnerships externally with key banking partners & internally with stakeholders to our treasury operations
• Ensure standard daily and periodic reporting and maintain process documentation for all relevant reports including trading and liquidity metrics
• Support new bank onboarding & FX trading activities as needed
• Identify optimization opportunities to improve revenues
• Assists with financial analysis and market trends on foreign currency and local markets
• Maintain knowledge of financial markets
• Ensures compliance with all banking laws, rules, regulations, and prescribed policies/practices/procedures necessary to reduce risk and uphold ethical standards related to and required by one’s duties
• Proactively think of strategic methods to improve process
• Any other duties assigned or ad-hoc projects
• Work with all sub-teams to ensure alignment and optimal communications
• Continuous evaluation of current processes vis-à-vis best industry practices
• Stakeholders Engagement: The role also involves continuous and effective engagement of relevant stakeholders in achieving operational efficiency.

Required competency and skill set to be a Waver

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in treasury operations, financial services, trade /Treasury Operations or similar field
• Experience & understanding of international payments, banking systems, Crypto and Defi workflow platforms
• Good understanding of the foreign exchange operations and local regulations
• Advanced proficiency in Excel
• Experience or familiarity with all or some of Emerging Markets, FX, and remittances a plus
• Excellent Financial analytical, strategic planning and execution skills
• High Level attention to detail
• Ability to identify errors
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet set deadlines
• Excellent interpersonal, presentation skills and communication skills
• Work goal-oriented based on minimum supervision
• High sense of responsibility, accountability, integrity, and ethical standards
• Authorization to work in Nigeria without sponsorship
