Assistant Manager (Power Plant) at Ascentech Services Limited

The Assistant Manager/Officer, Power Plant (Electrical) will be responsible for overseeing daily shift operations and ensuring optimal performance of the power plant’s electrical systems and equipment. The role requires strong technical competence, hands-on maintenance skills, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

1. Independently operate and manage daily shift activities of the substation, including overhaul, repair, and troubleshooting of Bergen or Wartsila engines and associated utilities.
2. Conduct operation and maintenance of transformers, VCBs, and ACBs.
3. Provide technical expertise for electrical equipment including transformers, generators, motors, relays, and cables.
4. Operate and troubleshoot DOL starters, star-delta starters, and VFD systems.
5. Manage and troubleshoot PCC and MCC systems.
6. Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all critical equipment as per OEM guidelines, while ensuring proper documentation and compliance with ISO standards.
7. Perform maintenance and repair of all instruments, PLC control systems, and LV, MV & HV switchgears.
8. Carry out maintenance and operations of all electrical equipment within the Wartsila power plant and associated facilities.
