Assistant Manager – Mechanical Maintenance at Ascentech Services Limited

Salary: ₦450,000 – ₦500,000 (Gross Monthly)

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced *Assistant Manager – Mechanical Maintenance* to oversee and ensure the efficient operation, maintenance, and reliability of mechanical systems within a fast-paced FMCG/manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for minimizing downtime, optimizing maintenance processes, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently handle mechanical breakdowns and ensure prompt resolution
• Plan and execute *preventive and corrective maintenanceactivities
• Conduct *root cause analysis (Why-Why Analysis)to eliminate recurring issues
• Plan, coordinate, and execute **plant shutdown and turnaround activities**
• Manage and optimize **spare parts inventory*to ensure availability and cost efficiency
• Ensure equipment reliability and maximum uptime across production lines
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve operational efficiency
• Maintain proper documentation of maintenance activities and reports

Requirements

• B.Sc. / B.Tech / HND in Mechanical Engineering
• 10 – 12 years of experience in **FMCG or manufacturing industry**
• Strong knowledge of **maintenance planning and execution**
• Experience in **shutdown management and equipment troubleshooting**
• Good understanding of **root cause analysis techniques**
• Strong leadership and team coordination skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
