This role is within a dynamic upstream operator environment focused on greenfield development and brownfield production enhancement. The Asset Manager will own the asset's P&L, oversee financial operations, and drive strategic planning and risk management while managing production optimization and coordinating technical and stakeholder relationships. The position involves leading a multidisciplinary team to achieve operational and safety targets, engaging in business transformation initiatives, and maintaining strong partnerships with joint ventures and regulatory bodies. Candidates can expect a leadership role with full ownership of asset performance, a collaborative work culture, and opportunities for professional growth through coaching and capacity development.

    Responsibilities:

    • Lead the development and execution of comprehensive 5-year and annual field development plans, coordinating with internal teams and external partners to drive budgeting, planning, and operational activities for upstream assets.
    • Own and manage the asset’s Profit & Loss (P&L) performance by preparing, defending, and reviewing annual budgets, enforcing cost control measures, and ensuring achievement of cash flow targets through rigorous financial oversight.
    • Oversee production surveillance and optimization by directing day-to-day production operations, conducting data acquisition and performance monitoring, and leading a multidisciplinary team to meet production and safety objectives.
    • Manage technical relationships with service providers to ensure operational alignment, monitor performance, and report findings to senior management.
    • Monitor and analyze operational, technical, financial, and performance metrics to identify gaps and implement actionable improvement plans aligned with strategic goals.
    • Direct field operations management to maintain and operate infrastructure and equipment, applying best practices to maximize reliability, availability, maintainability, and asset lifespan.
    • Drive business transformation and change management initiatives by identifying improvement opportunities, implementing operational enhancements, and fostering a culture of accountability, resource efficiency, and cost optimization.
    • Serve as the primary liaison for all asset-related matters, coordinating interfaces among internal service providers, joint venture partners, regulatory bodies, and government agencies to ensure effective stakeholder engagement.
    • Develop and mentor the asset team through regular coaching and feedback, building intellectual capacity and operational competence to function as an independent operator and effective partner within the upstream sector.

    Qualifications:

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline
    • Minimum of 15 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, including at least 5 years in upstream Asset Management

    • In-depth knowledge of technical and operational aspects of upstream assets
    • Strong understanding of production and business planning, budgeting, financial controls, and performance management processes
    • Demonstrated ability to own and manage asset Profit & Loss (P&L), including budget preparation, review, and cost control
    • Excellent planning, management, and coordination skills to lead multidisciplinary teams
    • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills to effectively engage with internal teams, joint ventures, regulatory bodies, and government agencies
    • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Experience in leading business transformation and change management initiatives within upstream operations
    • Proven track record in optimizing production throughput and asset uptime through data-driven performance monitoring
    • Experience in capacity development, coaching, and mentoring technical teams to build operational excellence
    • Familiarity with stakeholder management and fostering collaborative partnerships in complex operational environments

    What We Offer:

    • Opportunity to lead and manage upstream oil and gas assets within a dynamic and rewarding operational environment focused on development and production optimization
    • Full ownership of asset performance, encompassing strategic planning, financial oversight, and comprehensive stakeholder engagement
    • Collaborative culture fostering teamwork across multidisciplinary internal groups and external partners, including government agencies and joint ventures
    • Strong commitment to professional growth through coaching, capacity building, and promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
